Career Opportunities
Beekley... A Great Small Company
Career Opportunity Q&A:
Interview Process:
Q. Can you provide a brief overview
of the steps involved in the hiring process?
A. The interview process includes several
interviews. The initial interview will be with a member
of the Human Assets department. We administer a variety
of assessments that will help us to qualify your candidacy
for the position. As you are forwarded through the interview
process you will have an opportunity to meet with Beekley
associates that have a hiring interest.
Q. What can I expect during
the interview process?
A. We realize as much as we are screening
you, that you are screening us. We encourage you to
ask questions! The questions we ask are not theoretical
but based on your background and experience.
Q. Do I need to take a pre-employment
medical exam?
A. Yes, all candidates accepting an
offer of employment must go for a pre-employment drug
screening within 48 hours.
Culture:
Q. What makes working at Beekley
a unique experience?
A. We are an energetic culture where
having fun is core to our success. We recognize and
reward success; we also celebrate it.
Q. How does Beekley give back
to the community?
A. Through "Project Giveback." Every
dollar earned from a variety of fundraising events,
i.e., golf tournament, dress down Friday's, etc., is
donated to Bristol Hospital to provide free mammograms
for the Women of Bristol. Funds are also donated to
The Komen Race for the Cure Foundation, for cancer research,
and the American Cancer Society of CT.
Q. Why do you call everyone
that works at Beekley "associates" vs. "employees"?
A. We choose to use that term since
working here is voluntary. We rent your behavior but
you choose to associate yourself with our company.
Q. Do you have a policy against
smoking?
A. Yes, we are a smoke-free workplace.
Benefits
- We have you covered…
Q. Are my dependents eligible
for coverage under the Beekley benefit plan?
A. Yes, you are eligible to provide
coverage for yourself and for your immediate family.
The cost varies depending upon the number of dependents
enrolled in the plan.
Q. Is there any incentive if
I choose not to enroll in the benefit plan?
A. Yes, for each calendar year that
you choose to waive benefits, you will receive a check
for $500.
Q. When is medical/dental/vision
coverage effective?
A. Your coverage will begin the first
day of the month following successful completion of
the 90-day qualification period.
Q. When am I eligible for 401K?
A. You are eligible to enroll after
12 months of continuous service. Enrollment and changes
are permitted on a quarterly basis.
