CT-SPOTS^® skin markers provide an artifact free image and are available in two pellet sizes and a flexible line. Beekley's CT-SPOTS are perfect for pinpointing soft tissue masses, points of pain or any area of interest.
GuideLines^® CT biopsy grids save time and improve accuracy when localizing needle entry sites in CT guided biopsy. GuideLines non-metallic lines offer an artifact free image and the self adhesive backing prevents buckling for precise identification of needle entry target. GuideLines are available in two sizes to accomodate a variety of biopsy needs.
MR-SPOTS^® image brightly and consistently on all MRI sequences so that areas of interest are clearly identified on the scan. MR-SPOTS are available in two styles and 4 sizes to accommodate a variety of needs. GuideLines: Precise Localization of the Needle Entry Site

GuideLines Demo GuideLines consists of 7 (12 in larger size) non-lead lines with an open window between each line. This allows for an easy and precise method for identification of the needle entry site. If the site happens to fall on one of the lines, simply mark each side of the line to identify the preferred point of entry.

Product Features & Benefits

GuideLines biopsy grids save time and improve accuracy when localizing the needle entry site.

GuideLines consists of seven non-lead lines attached to a 4" x 5" grid, or in
the larger size, twelve non-lead lines attached to a 7" x 7.5" grid.
Each line is made of a unique non-lead formulation that eliminates artifact that can obscure detail on the scan
The medical grade adhesive of GuideLines is hypo-allergenic, latex-free and designed to stay in place while the needle entry site is being localized
An adhesive coating covers the entire back of GuideLines, allowing it to contour well to all body parts and eliminating buckling which can result in wasted time, inaccuracies and frustrations
The double spacing between lines 1 and 2 allows for precise orientation and helps to distinguish between right and left on the scan
The large open windows on GuideLines help to accurately localize the needle entry site the first time, reducing the amount of radiation exposure for the patient
Single use and sanitary, GuideLines reduces the chance of exposing the patient to nosocomial infection

Instructions for Use

Take an initial pilot scan to identify the area of interest.
Remove the backing from GuideLines to expose the adhesive.
Place GuideLines on the patient, directly over the area of interest.
Scan the area of interest and determine which slice the radiologist will want to work from.
Using the series of seven lines on the scan, determine the preferred area for needle entry.
Move the patient to the predetermined scan location.
Using the open windows between the lines on GuideLines mark the needle entry site based on where the laser shines.
If the preferred point of entry falls on a grid line simply mark on both sides of the line.
Remove GuideLines, prepare the patient and perform the biopsy.
